Afif Nassif (he/him)
PhD, MBA, MEd, RP (Qualifying)
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

My practice is eclectic, trauma-informed, and centred around your unfolding experience. I am guided by an intent to spark your curiosity about your own internal experience, acquaint you with a better understanding of yourself, and facilitate a sense of calm and clarity. I believe the ultimate protective factor psychotherapy provides lies in being a witness to your lived experience.

Primarily, I serve adult members of the LGBTQIA2S+ and/or BIPOC communities seeking support in processing developmental and childhood trauma; tending to loneliness, self-esteem, and/or depression; and navigating life transitions, relationships, and identity. I also work with young adults striving for meaning, direction, and autonomy; educators or front-line workers struggling with compassion fatigue; and corporate professionals seeking work-life balance.

I draw on CBT and EFT in teasing insights from your thoughts and emotions, as well as ACT and Narrative Therapy in exploring values and how you construe meaning. I am also an EMDR trained therapist.

Afif holds an MEd in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto and is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Alongside his psychotherapy work, Afif teaches and holds a PhD in the field of Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources Management. His experience also spans a stint in the consulting industry, which he pursued after earning an MBA.
