DBT-Linehan Board of Certification, Certified Clinician™
Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist

Our 20s and 30s are often met with increased pressure, that which is self-imposed or influenced by our environment. It is during these years that we can suffer from the “shoulds”, begin to realize that there is a disconnect between where we are and where we thought we would be, or draw unhelpful comparisons to those around us. For many, these are fundamental years associated with investment in relationships and the future. This stage can be vibrant, exciting, full of possibility AND at the exact same time can be uniquely challenging. More often than not, life will throw us an unexpected curve ball - sometimes several all at once.

We will work together to develop the skills that you need to better understand and manage difficult thoughts and emotions in order to make meaningful change in the areas that are most important to you. The relationships that I have been fortunate to form in therapeutic settings are ones that I value and hold in high-esteem.  My practice emphasizes validation, authenticity and curiosity, along with a little bit of laughter.

As a social worker, I have received additional training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Motivational Interviewing. We will work together in order to determine what treatment model or blend is the best fit for you.

Jessica graduated from Dalhousie University where she received an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Afterwards, she completed her Master of Social Work at the University of Toronto, specializing in Mental Health and Health.

Jessica has over 7 years of experience working in mental health care settings. She is a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
