(she/her), Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), MACP Candidate
In a fast-paced society that demands emotional numbness and fuels constant urgency, slowing down and tending to your needs can feel unfamiliar, and at times overwhelming. You may feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or find yourself trying to make sense of your identity, relationships, or sense of purpose. Therapy offers a unique space to pause and reflect on your story in the presence of a supportive other.
I am a queer Iranian-Canadian therapist, offering individual therapy to adults in Toronto, and online across Ontario. I primarily support folks who are navigating relationship challenges, the lasting impacts of childhood trauma or attachment wounds, life transitions, anxiety, burnout, low self-esteem, shame, isolation or loneliness, perfectionism, people pleasing, grief and loss, identity exploration, and existential questions around meaning or purpose. Many of the people I work with feel disconnected, uneasy, or caught in cycles of self-doubt, often without knowing why, and are seeking greater clarity, connection, and agency.
My therapeutic approach is relational and collaborative, rooted in trauma-informed, psychodynamic, narrative, and attachment-focused therapies. This means that our work will demand our mutual engagement, aimed at co-creating a space that enables a curious witnessing of where you are and what got you here. In this process, our therapeutic relationship will serve as an essential tool where patterns can be experienced and understood in real time, giving us an opportunity to make sense of them. We will use emerging insights to guide change or develop alternative ways of relating to yourself and others.
Instead of offering prescriptive answers or solutions, I will support you in building greater self-understanding and acceptance, while inviting you to befriend your inner conflicts, and expand your capacity to tolerate and move through difficult feelings. Over time, this can lead to more intentional choices, deeper relationships, and a stronger sense of self.
I am especially dedicated to supporting individuals navigating intersectional identities or experiences, intergenerational trauma, immigration or displacement, and non-conforming or unconventional life paths. I offer an affirming, culturally responsive space that is rooted in anti-oppressive principles, recognizing how broader sociocultural and political contexts shape mental health. In our work, we will unpack and critically examine the pervasive impacts of power/privilege, marginalization, and systemic harms that exist both within and beyond the therapy room.
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University (pending conferral) and a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Toronto. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). My professional background includes crisis response work with the national suicide crisis helpline, as well as extensive experience in medical and community-based settings. As part of my commitment to reflective and ethical practice, I engage in my own personal therapy and ongoing clinical supervision.
It is my greatest honour to walk this path alongside you, as both witness and fellow traveller.
