Hila Zlotnik (she/her)
MSW, RSW
Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist
My approach to therapy is relational, experiential and attachment-focused. I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities depending on your specific needs, your situation and your hopes for therapy. This could include elements of Emotion-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mind-Body Awareness, CBT and DBT therapies, Narrative Therapy and Trauma-Informed practices.
I bring warmth, presence and deep listening. My aim is to create a therapeutic context that cultivates curiosity, feels nurturing, non-judgmental and that supports you to connect with your feelings and give language to your experiences. In this way, we can move through and in more preferred directions shaped by your hopes, values and needs.
I view therapy as a collaborative and dynamic process. By following your own pacing and comfort level, we will learn about and from your specific history, knowledge and lived experience. We will also listen for your preferences, abilities, intuitions and strengths as guides that can clarify choices and move us towards actions that feel most honest and true to you.
I work with a range of concerns including but not limited to: Anxiety, Depression, Loneliness and Isolation, Relationship Challenges, Breakups, Grief and Loss, Life Transitions, Trauma, Low Self-Esteem and Self-Doubt.
