Therapist in Training

Therapy offers us a chance to slow down and reconnect with ourselves in a nourishing, holistic way. At its core, therapy offers a warm, open, and non-judgemental space, something many of us may find difficult to experience amidst the busyness of everyday life.  Guided by intentionality, therapy can provide our mind and body a deserved moment to feel truly heard and cared for. Whether you aim to make specific changes, or experience a compassionate, understanding environment that will facilitate a profound exploration of your inner world, I am here to support you in this empowering journey of progress and growth.

Embarking on this journey of therapy can be both exciting and anxiety-inducing. I aim to meet you wherever you are as we unravel your experiences, thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations through a collaborative, relational, and client-centred approach. I believe my clients are the experts in their own lives. I warmly embrace the many parts that make up who you are, while helping you recognize and reconnect with your inherent resilience.

My approach is integrative, often intertwining bits of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Emotion Focused Therapy, and somatic techniques.

I support adults with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, complex family dynamics, shame, identity, life transitions, and grief. I am particularly passionate

about supporting clients of diverse communities, including racialized, cross-cultural, and 2SLGBTQIA+ identities.Through genuine curiosity and a culturally informed lens, I welcome authenticity and make space for the fullness of your story, including the experiences and identities that shape who you are.

I am currently completing my Master of Education in Psychotherapy and Counselling at the University of Toronto. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Gender Studies, and South Asian Humanities from the University of Toronto Mississauga. My research background analyzes  how gender, ethnicity, domestic, and structural influences interact to shape Punjabi Canadian women’s holistic wellbeing.

My distinct background grounded in justice and equity has nurtured my understanding of layered identities and systems we operate under that shape our mental health in complex ways. I also have volunteer experience as a crisis responder on various helplines, supporting individuals with suicide prevention, substance abuse, and sexual assault. Being a South Asian woman and second-generation immigrant, my lived experiences spark my lifelong passion to empower diverse folks in their healing. These personal and professional elements root me in a culturally humble, anti-oppressive, and intersectional feminist framework that is central to my practice. By seeking ongoing personal therapy and clinical supervision, I remain committed to my values of self-examination and eternal learning.

I invite you to venture into this promising path of reconnection and realignment. If it sounds like I might be a good fit, I would be honoured to walk alongside you through this process.
