How are you really doing?

Perhaps you have spent so long adapting to change, meeting expectations, or caring for others that it has become difficult to know what you need, what matters to you, or who you are. You may appear to be coping while privately feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or uncertain about what comes next. My hope is to help you find your way back to yourself or perhaps discover yourself for the first time.

My approach is primarily psychodynamic, humanistic, and emotion-focused. I bring warmth to our conversations and respect for the ways you have learned to manage what life has asked of you. We will pay attention not only to what you are feeling now, but also to how earlier experiences and relationships may be influencing the ways you respond today. Exploring these connections with curiosity and compassion can give you more freedom to decide what still fits and what you may be ready to change.

For more than two decades, I have worked as an occupational therapist, supporting people through illness, disability, caregiving, and major life transitions. Those years taught me how to remain present with people when life has changed in ways they did not choose and no simple solution exists. While helping people regain function was deeply meaningful, I came to recognize that healing also involves understanding our emotional lives, making sense of what has happened to us, and finding meaning in what comes next. This inspired me to return to school, and I am completing a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto. I now bring this perspective to my work in psychotherapy, helping people build lives that feel authentic, meaningful, and connected to what matters most.
