As our experiences accumulate, the things that once felt manageable can begin to weigh us down and occupy our thoughts. Between the big life events and smaller challenges, you may start to feel like you’re just ‘getting by’, rather than feeling present. For some, this might involve a growing disconnect between who you are, what you value, and how you move through the world. As this happens, your emotions, relationships, and goals may begin to feel more difficult to navigate.
Among all this, you may find yourself recognizing patterns, thoughts, or behaviours that no longer feel helpful, while also finding it difficult to approach yourself with compassion. Perhaps you understand where these patterns come from, or even know what you would say to a friend in your position, yet struggle to extend that same understanding towards yourself.
Therapy with me is a collaborative process where you will be met with warmth, openness, curiosity, and non-judgment. Together, we will create space to safely explore your patterns, deepen your understanding of the themes that matter to you, and create the conditions for meaningful growth. This may include exploring anxiety, self-esteem, body image, sexuality, friendships and family dynamics, perfectionism, trauma, obsessive and intrusive thoughts, and the many pressures of life that can weigh on your psyche.
Through our work, I aim to build a space where trust can grow, fostering the opportunity for deeper dialogue, vulnerability, and healing. Working from an integrative lens means honouring wherever you are without judgement, focusing on your needs and values to shape your path of growth, together. My integrative lens draws from person-centred, psychodynamic, narrative, and cognitive-behavioural approaches, and considers all aspects of your identity and experiences that shape who you are.
At the heart of my practice is a trauma-informed framework, guided by both lived experiences and my background in mental health crisis response. I recognize that our experiences are shaped by adversity, relationships, culture, and the systems that surround us. Grounded in my training in Psychotherapy and Counselling at the University of Toronto, as well as an intersectional, feminist, and anti-oppressive perspective, I believe therapy should be a space where you feel valued, heard, and truly seen.
If you wish to deepen your self-understanding, feel empowered as the author of your story, and move towards meaningful change, I welcome you to reach out and schedule a consultation. It would be an honour to work with you.
